Above the din of crowd’s approval
The tiny little song beneath the roar.
Perhaps, in some other place..
You may see me
Out there beyond the glaring footlights
Shining bright and true.
Here I am… just me… myself…
Nothing to hide, no games to play
Perhaps if I knew the rules…
The dance… the script…
Someday, in a warmer space…
